The Adventure Village at Headwaters Outfitters offers unique outdoor recreational activities for kids of all ages!
Fishing Pond:
Our 1 acre, architecturally designed fishing pond
is stocked with catfish and carp. Bring your own rod
or rent one from us, bait and tackle is available
for purchase. Be sure to register for one of our fishing
tournaments.
The Village 3-D Archery Range:
Take aim on our 3-D archery course ready for beginners and experts alike. Walk this course and test your skills against 3-D targets ranging from whitetail deer, wild turkeys, exotic African animals, and more. Bring your bow and arrows along, or rent one from our Village Shop. Tournaments held throughout the year.
Pool & Playground Facility:
Our outdoor recreation area is complete with an outdoor swimming & wading pool available for resort guests only. The recreation area is located adjacent to the fishing pond and within walking distance from the Village Store. Kids will love our active playground. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. There are no lifeguards on duty.
Hiking Trails:
Be sure to bring your hiking boots. Nestled among 90 acres you will find several hiking trails on site. We are very close Pisgah Forest National Forest, DuPont State Forest, and NC newest state park, Gorges State Park. Our friendly & knowledgeable staff will be more than happy to point you in the right direction.

1st Annual Bowhunter
Get Down Extreme 3-D Archery Tournament
May 3rd
and 4th
A Benefit for the NC Bowhunters Association
Hosted by Headwaters Outfitters Adventure Village and Lodgings,
Rosman, NC
Unlimited, Hunter,
Traditional and Youth classes
Shoot-out on Saturday,
with the Top 20 shooters in each class qualifying for Championship
on Sunday. Championship will combine scores from Saturday
and Sunday. King of the Mountain trophies for top three shooters
in each class.
Rules:
Hunter Extreme Scoring, No 12 rings counted, 8 and 10 rings
only, hitting the animal outside of vital rings will be minus
5.
Entry:
$25 entry fee, with $3 score card holders tipping fee each
day, benefits our local FFA shooting team. Free King of the
Mountain Extreme 3-D T-shirt to all participants.
