The Forks of the River, a local name for our location, is a taproom that not only celebrates the birthplace of the French Broad River but also the quality of water we all enjoy. We dedicate 12 taps to our breweries within our watershed that makes beer from these pristine mountain waters. We are here because of the water and so is the beer.

Food Trucks
We work with some amazing locally owned and operated food trucks throughout the year. They are each independent from the Taproom and Headwaters, therefor schedules and line-ups can change daily. We will do our best to post a weekly schedule on our social media accounts. Thank you for understanding and for supporting small local businesses.

Yesterday, Rosman 5th & 6th graders said goodbye to the rainbow trout they’ve been raising all school year—sending them off into their new home on the French Broad River. What started as tiny fish in a tank turned into a full-circle moment on the water.
Students spent the day by the river and had the chance to learn to fly cast with some of our staff and dive into stream life with Trout Unlimited Pisgah Chapter—getting hands-on with golden stone nymphs, cased caddis, darter fish, and even a lamprey. Aquascopes in hand, they explored the river they call home from a whole new perspective.
This kind of experience goes beyond the classroom. It builds connection, curiosity, and respect for the river—instilling the importance of conservation in kids who are growing up right alongside it.
