East Fork Slump Busters – After School Fly Tying Class
Calling all young anglers! The East Fork Slump Busters is an after-school fly tying class designed to introduce kids ages 10–16 to the fundamentals of fly tying in a fun, hands-on environment.
This beginner-friendly class is perfect for kids who are curious about fly tying and fly fishing, or want to learn more about bugs and the flies that mimic them! No prior experience needed!
What to Expect:
🪶 Introductory fly tying instruction
🛠️ All vises and materials provided
👨🏫 Instruction led by Sammy Cathey & Jeremy Maupin
🎯 Small group setting for hands-on learning

📍 Location: Media Room at Headwaters Outfitters (Main Location)

• Space is limited to 8 tyers per class
• Advance registration is required
• If you’re unable to attend, please notify us ASAP so we can offer the spot to a child on the waiting list
